Those of you who know me, know I am a huge 'dipper.' I dip almost any food into any dipping sauce be it sweet, spicy, hot, cold, creamy, tart, smooth, textured...
I also dip bread etc. in liquids - but that's for another post.
Here is one we tried recently and LOVED.
We made panko crusted chicken tenders and then used this recipe from Giada as a sauce.
Cyanne was a fan of both.
(Her recipe on foodnetwork.com from which this comes is Salmon Fish Sticks - we've yet to try it but it sounds yummy.)
So, if you're in the hunt for an awesome sauce/dip - try this - the uses are virtually limitless:
Giada’s Awesome Dipping Sauce
* 1/3 cup reduced fat mayonnaise
* 1/3 cup lowfat plain yogurt (Note: we used sour cream which was great)
* 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
* 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or chives
(I also added a little fresh lemon juice to up the tart factor but you can taste it first and add if you like).
Mix all together in a bowl and serve.
Serve the sauce w/fish sticks, chicken tenders, spread for sandwiches, dip for veggies etc. Endless possibilities!
