My apologies to her that it happened to be Marmalade Cafe but when you're taking an infant out to a restaurant one of two things can happen: 1) they can sleep the entire time or 2) they can cry and cry. I know there's some middle ground in there that involves feeding but one never knows if they'll actually eat and then sleep...
So, we went there and sat outside (yes, Maritt was well bundled in her carseat) in case she started to cry.
It was great. She did great.
We enjoyed the sun and a nice lunch outside.
We then went and did some Christmas shopping afterwards. After we'd made it through a couple of stores, she let it be known that she was done sitting in her seat... and was hungry. Tom's rhythmic swinging of the car seat only lasted so long. So, we ended our afternoon jaunt and headed home.
Tom knows how much I love to go out so this was a big milestone for us! =) We had to start early indoctrinating our kids on the joy of restaurants.
