Maritt - Words Update

Maritt's words are coming on more and more each day.

She now says "uh oh!" each time she drops something or (intentionally) drops something off of her tray or a table. "uh oh" there goes the 30th cheerio on the floor! ...

Book

She can basically say Dada and Mama. Dada comes out clearer.

Bye-bye sounds like "buh buh" and is accompanied by the most adorable queenly wave.

Kitty = Titie

Dog = Dah/Duh

She's working on it!

Cyanne's Words

We were trying to remember the other day the many different words or versions of words Cyanne has used. Here are some which she used to say and some she still says. Some are too cute that we don't rush to correct her =):

In the past:
Bananas = Bayas
Tomatoes = Ma-tae-toes
Straw/Blue/Raspberry = Straw/Blue/Raspbaby or babies. "I love Strawbabies! They are soooo juicy!" Conveniently, we don't eat many blackberries. This is somewhat entertaining, though =).
Water = Agua or Ah-wah
Blabey = Baby. "My name is Cyanne Baby!"

Still:
Hamburger = Hang-a-burr
Carrots = Carricks
Sandwich = Sam-wich (though my guess is this is a fairly common one...)

For fun (she knows it's not right but likes to say it anyway):
Sister = Sis-tee
Maritt = Mini, Mareitch, Marebear, Po-po, Bo-bo, Po-Peach, Bo-beech, Mary/i (The current favorite as of 2011 is "Bo Bo" for Maritt).

Cyannese

Cyanne must have some Russian in her we didn't know about.
We are now "Daditch" "Momitch" and for Maritt: "Maritch" or her new nickname for her: "Po-popitch" (sounds like Po-popeach). She's making up words constantly. I keep telling her we need to use real words otherwise Maritt's going to be speaking some form of Russian-influenced Cyannese...
It's very entertaining for us though. She will hit Maritt on the head and say "Hi, bo-beech!" (note - Tom and I chuckle at times when this is said otherwise =))...) "Hi, Po-Popitch!" "I love you, Po-popitch!" She likes to add -itch to most words.
It sounds like she's speaking some odd form of Russian.

Maritt looks at her and mimics her... I think we're going to hear all sorts of "words" for her other than Da-da and Ma-ma and book.
