Peaches!

The two peach trees down the road from the house are LOADED with fruit. Tom's pruning efforts and extra care and attention to them this winter really seemed to make a difference. We have many more this year than we did last year and they are incredibly delicious!

Starting to get bigger:

There was a LOT of mulch dumped in the road to boost up the soil around the avocado trees. Cyanne was fascinated with the amount of it. And the smell... =)

This gives an idea of just how much and how high the mounds were - almost as tall as we are!

Amazing, beautiful peaches!
There was one white variety and one yellow. The white was was just amazing to eat fresh. We'd all stand there and eat peach after peach, right off the tree.

Maritt loved eating them, too.

Super juicy! This is so much better than that Gerber peach puree! There's no way I'm eating that stuff again!! (I did puree some of these peaches and saved it in the freezer for her for when these are all gone... One of my first times actually making baby food =)).

The trees and fruit were really pretty.

Lucky, guarding the trees from the squirrels. Tom's metal bands around the trunks did deter them as well but Lucky is a pretty effective guard dog... he's a lot quicker than he looks... =)
